Newport Beach Real Estate Update

 

The above graph shows the relationship of the number of active listings versus the number of actual sold properties. It compares the cumulative year-to-date numbers in the month of January from 2008 to 2012. Comparing the numbers from January 2009 to now, we have seen an increase of 59% in the number of closed transactions and a decrease in the active number of listings by 30% from January 2009 in Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Corona del Mar and Eastside Costa Mesa.

 

 

Newport Beach Market Statistics

 

The above graph shows the relationship of the average sales price versus the average list price of the properties in this market. It compares the cumulative year-to-date numbers up to the month of January from 2008 to 2012. The graph depicts a 47% difference between the average list price and final sales price so far in 2012. It also shows a decrease in the average sales price from the 2008 to 2012 of 21%, but there was an increase in the average sales price of 11% from January 2011 compared to January 2012 in Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Corona del Mar and Eastside Costa Mesa.
